Mysilpada.com/dana.gigliotti Parallelism

To return to my favorite show of the moment, Supernatural, the story of Dean and Castiel I was strangely familiar. And thinking, I finally remembered one of my favorite series of books of science fiction, Isaac Asimov, and then I realized the parallels between the two stories. Robots

The series is about robots, and refers to the famous series of foundations.
are some very interesting novels that are set in the distant future, where mankind colonized other planets. The people of these planets from Earth and became independent, upper and considered calling themselves "Space." Because they were relatively few in their worlds, they all lived well, were long-lived (livingas 400 years) and never got sick. They were also robots that did all the hard work.
At that time, Earth was a world overpopulated by people who barely survived, were crowded and everything was rationed. They lived in enormous underground cities, outdoor closed. Never saw the sun, no clouds, nor knew what it was the rain. There were also robots, more primitive, and people hated them because they took off their jobs and made them more miserable than they already were. . The first of these novels is called "The Caves of Steel" and is one of my favorite novels.
The protagonist of these novels is a detective named Elijah Baley, a policeman from the city of New York, by then a huge underground city.
One day, a space is murdered on Earth, and the detective is assigned the case. As a condition, and to avoid a war with the space, is asked to agree to work with one of them to settle the case. As the space could not be in contact with the germs of the Earth, which will work with the police have to be a robot. And not to arouse hatred in the land, is a robot that looks like a human being: Daneel Olivaw. Elijah
hates robots, but agrees to work with one of them, because it is their duty. Daneel is governed by the famous 3 laws of robotics by Asimov, so I do not have free will. It's faster, stronger and more clever than humans, and is very beautiful, the ideal beauty of the space, but can notto think for himself, because it is a machine. Elijah
is moody, and at first passed Daneel insulting, because it is a human being, but one of those damn machines that are ruining humans.
These two strange bedfellows have to work together. It is remarkable how the relationship unfolds between them. Change each other. Elijah begins to trust him, and he does not care much that it is a machine. In fact it fails to consider a machine and begins to consider a friend. In the third book (The Robots of Dawn), is a phrase that sums it all up and love it. "Bailey could not help but be horrified to realize he would be willing to risk his life for a robot ... No, not a robot. By Daneel. And when he was dying, just wanted to see Daneel.
Moreover, Daneel able to overcome the 3 laws, think for yourself as a human being and save humanity, helping Earthlings and turning against their creators, all the influence it had on him that earthling in particular. Hundreds of years after Bailey died, his memory was still the main motivation Daneel, who ended up being a kind of guardian and protector of mankind, in memory of his friend, even centuries after they had forgotten ever existed one planet of origin of the species.
is a beautiful story. And the story of Dean and Castiel reminded me a lot, but I quickly locate why I was so familiar.
are 11 books in total, although the first, which shows Daneel and Baley, are 4 novels and a story. "Caves of Steel", "The Naked Sun", "The Robots of Dawn" and "Robots and Empire." The story is called "mirror image" and goes from "The Naked Sun" and "The Robots of Dawn."
was a rather long entry, but really wanted to put this into words. I like to have found a parallel between two of my favorites.
